The Mac is a visual artist from California. His primary medium is painting, however he also works in sculpture, jewelry making, and mixed media work. The concept of universal interconnectivity and a deep appreciation for what he likes to call “kindergarten art” is very evident in his naive style. Recently, he has epitomized those motifs through line variation, drips, dashes, faces, and childlike interpretations of animals, creatures, and various chosen items. A couple of his favorite artists - Dr. Seuss and Picasso - are influences that can be seen in his graphic and guileless painting forms. The Mac's work is deeply inspired by his love of childhood’s imaginative nature and his unwillingness to fully surrender to adulthood.
